FAQ

STROLLER STRIDES

What is Stroller Strides?

Stroller Strides is a total-body fitness program, designed for moms to do with their little ones in the stroller. Each 60 minute class combines total body conditioning with self-selected cardio intervals (power walking or jogging) as well as songs and activities to keep the kiddos entertained. We work to provide you with a fun and challenging workout, but each class is also designed to offer options and modifications to fit your fitness level, whether you're new to fitness or you're already running laps around your neighborhood with your stroller.

So do we just like, grab a coffee, meet up and walk around?

Stroller Strides is SO much more than just a walk in the park! We move from station to station doing total body conditioning exercises that have been specifically designed for postpartum women. We pride ourselves on offering a workout that's a challenge, but making sure that it's appropriate for all levels of fitness!

What do I bring?

  • Yourself, dressed in comfortable clothing to work out in
  • Your baby, in a sturdy stroller (it DOES NOT need to be a jogging stroller)
  • A yoga mat or towel, for stretching and core work
  • Water
  • Snacks for your little one
  • Anything else you may need to keep your little one entertained

I just had a baby, when can I start?

With any new workout regime, you should get doctor's approval. Typically postpartum moms get the thumbs up to work out 6 weeks after delivery. If you have any questions we encourage you to reach out to your healthcare provider.

What if my baby cries during class?

That's okay, babies cry (toddlers too)! You'll be in a group full of moms with their kids - we've all been there and we all get it! You are always able to do what you need to do to take care of your little one, and of course we do our best to help you out too with fun songs, activities and lots of bubbles!

I've never worked out before, will I be okay in this class?

YES! You will absolutely love this class. We provide intensity variations for all exercises and any elements of cardio are self-selected. We understand that some days getting out of the house is challenging enough. Having said that, when you do want a challenge we also offer variations for you to push yourself.

Can I bring my older kid to class?

As long as your child has a seat in your stroller, they can come! We do require that all children stay safely buckled in the stroller (or fastened into a baby carrier such as a Tula or Ergo).
